 The Felucca Guild of Mages

The Mages' Guild provides Felucca with new technology via magic and pursues this goal by using thier skills for good while thwarting evil. Their headquarters is the Lyceaum in Moonglow though they also have a large establishment in the northside of Britain.

The mages' guild despises any uncivilized creature (orcs, ettins, etc) and loathes creatures that actively pursue the overthrow of good. In the past they've had a few members defect and use Necromancy as a way to capture immortality. They also hate hell fiends, as they often tempt mortals with power.

The head of the Mages' guild is Ozlith, though he's more of a spokes person since the guild decides on issues as a commity. Ozlith believes that the key to the secrets of the universe lies in discovering the hidden order of the cosmos. Just as a spell has certain steps to go through to complete so does the inner workings of every being or object.

The last great rebellion occured quite some time age and was led by an associate of Ozlith's, Dasteen. Dasteen fought with Ozlith on every possible issue and even denounced the theories that led to Ozlith's rise and rank. Dasteen believed that the universe is composed of chaos and that magic is used to control that chaos for personal gain. Dasteen remained in the guild for quite sometime because he contributed many ideas. He disappeared taking many mages with him. It is believed he was dabling in Necromancy, but nothing has ever been substantiated. There are still some who believe in Dasteen's chaos theory and they have formed a small cult.

The Mages' guild has control over all the cities except Serpent's Hold. Though they have the power to overtake the city they do not. Murder is less of an offense now that Resurrection is freely available. Though, the guild still condemns such actions. Its also possible that the Mages' guild is just too busy to waste their time on petty criminals.
